A Perfect Summer Wedding In Alberta

This wedding day was such a family affair.  I followed the bride all around that morning and we started at her friends house who did her hair while her Mom sat by with tears in her eyes watching her baby girl get ready for one of the biggest days of her life.
We next went to the brides home where EVERYONE was there – family, friends, children, pets, grandparents, cousins – there was so much love around it was simply heartwarming.  Everyone was there for her and her groom to be and it was clear that no one was “forced” to be there – everyone was there because they loved them.
The ceremony was quick and went off without a hitch and then there was two newly married lovers walking back down the beautiful flower trail on lush green grass towards the meeting point where the unplanned receiving line occurred.
The wedding was near Bluffton, Alberta and there was the most beautiful areas to photograph in – like the first image of the wedding party under the trees.  That was a small oasis in the middle of a pasture that was all alone with the exception of a few cows walking by here and there.
A very special patch had been sewn onto the brides gown as well…the heart that is an image below.  The heart was made from a shirt her grandfather used to wear and who had passed away not all that long ago.  The bride also wore an heirloom ring in her dress and the circle of tradition was continued and begun in a fraction of a second.  The tears flowed, the smiles were abundant and the family was intact as it had always been.
It really was A Perfect Wedding day.
