Welcome Little Miss Newborn.

Last Saturday I had the pure pleasure of photographing a beautiful newborn in Red Deer, Alberta.  Little Miss was a beautiful baby and completely perfect in every way and she was charming from the beginning till the end – or at least until she pooped all over my pink and cream blanket combination…oi.  To be honest though, I rarely get pooped on…peed yes, but poop – not nearly as much as you think I would.  Having triplets has given me magical powers around sensing poop…and to be honest I knew she was overdue, so I don’t blame her – it makes me feel good when a newborn poops because it is a whole world of ouch when they don’t.

Now, this perfect newborn is VERY loved.  She has not one, but TWO big brothers who are so excited to be big brothers.  They love her – there is no question about it at all and she will always be protected…even though they really don’t know yet what kind of responsibility big brothers have when they get a new baby sister.  Little Miss also has a very doting Daddy that loves his newborn girl so much – the beauty and tenderness in his eyes when he held her during images was breathtaking and so beautiful to witness.  Most of all though, this little newborn has a Mommy that has wished for a little girl all her grown up life…and maybe even a little before that.  The bond between Mother and Daughter is so strong – this little newborn has no idea yet the power and poise she carries in her home and with any luck they will all learn to grow and love each other and tolerate what they dislike and embrace what they love each day as everyone grows and continues on they’re paths together as a family.

I completed Mom’s maternity shoot about two months ago and to be totally honest, Mom rocked it.  She was glowing and absolutely beautiful and most of all she was so happy.  There was no question that Mom was excited for her newborn little girl to arrive so she could begin to cover her with all the kisses and hugs she could muster.  She had such a great maternity session and honoured my need to keep trying new ideas over and over so that she would get EXACTLY what she needed from her session – a perfect memory of a wonderful pregnancy.

This is just one little image of Little Miss – once her images are selected by Mom and Dad I will update* the blog with the rest of her perfect little self.
