Once Upon A Time Fairytale Sessions

A fairytale session with Suzanne Taylor Photography near Red Deer, AB.

The once was a little girl who loved to explore.  Actually two little girls. They often wandered through the tall grasses and, exploring, enjoying and learning about all the beauty and wonder around them.  They spent their days just like they were part of a fairytale that they were read everyday by their parents while they sat and savored every word.  They loved the story of a little girl in a red cape, going to Grandma’s house – but enjoying an apple along the way, they stop to smell and inspect every flower during their trip.

How do these fairytale sessions work?

The Once Upon A Time sessions are tailored to your child and a concept around them, like Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, or any other popular fairytale character they love.  It allows your child to embrace a little magic and create some magical fine art while you are at it.  I am so excited to offer sessions that little girls not only love but actually ask their parents for – no joke.  A fairytale session is pure indulgence for a small girl or boy and I look so forward to running them as an option next summer to enjoy and be amazed by.

Photo sessions like this have such a beautiful heirloom quality to them.  There is no adult alive that would dislike images of themselves like this as children – even if the subject matter doesn’t care, he or she likely will have people in their lives that do love them as they grow and become adults.  It is hard for me to imagine my children as adults, but I know that there time will come – my oldest is six and in Alberta, the age of majority is 18…he is 1/3 of the way there for goodness sakes.  Knowing that his prime early childhood days are now behind them I know his story has been chronicled well – to date.  Hopefully one day his children will look upon them and enjoy the story of the image being told, the beauty of the imagery and them looking to see how much they look like dad, or grandpa or uncle.
